The Old Palace, Lincoln

It is always fabulous to hear from our lovely couples after the event, especially when they are as enthusiastic about our designs as Hailey and Keith were.

Hailey and Keith's wedding part 3.

The wedding reception was held at The Old Palace, a gorgeous venue with excellent and helpful staff.

The couple decided to keep the table centres low, so when guests entered the room nothing was blocking the surprising view over Lincoln.

The fish bowls used were 12" and were created with flowers that matched the rest of the wedding. Eustoma, roses, freesia,Veronica and lavender. A single candle was also included.
As the couple had chosen a round top table a similar but larger bowl was created for their table.

The Lincoln Golf Centre

Kayleigh's wedding reception was held at The Lincoln Golf Centre at Thorpe-on-the-Hill.

The top table was a long and low design of whites and creams, including lilies, roses, germini,carnations and stallion chysants.

The table centres were small fish bowls with a plain ivory candle standing on a bed of crushed 'ice'. Kayleigh had wanted to make these herself but on being given a quote (for hiring of the vases and ice) it was as cheap to leave it to us. We deliver on the morning of the wedding and set them on the tables, giving the bride more time to get ready.

Please do ask your venue on the suitability of using candles before you decide you definitely want them. Some venues will not allow them to be lit.

Lisianthus wedding

Here we have Gemma's wedding flowers from July. Her colour theme was purple and white and she loved lisianthus. Her bouquet was a mix of purple, white with purple edging and white lisianthus. Also included was some fountain grass and a collar of salal leaves. The stems were bound with purple ribbon attached with small pearl headed pins.The three bridesmaids were wearing purple and each carried a similar bouquet but with the white and white with purple edge lisianthus.
The little flower girl carried a silver wand with white and white/purple lisianthus with fountain grass and a salal leaf.
All the men's buttonholes were white/purple lisianthus with asparagus fern.
The ladies wore a white lisianthus corsage with fountain grass, asparagus fern and gyp.
The reception was held at The White Hart (Lincoln). (2nd time for us this weekend) Unfortunately the tables were not ready for us on delivery, so we couldn't get any photos.

The table centres Gemma chose were a small fishbowl with 3 purple edged carnations sitting on glass 'ice' with bear grass swirls. She had decided to make her own centrepieces but on us giving a quote she realised it was better to leave it to us.
We also provided all the flowers for the church ladies so everything matched.

Just so you know:

Lisianthus and Eustoma are the same flower, some call it one, some the other.

St Helen's Church at Saxby

Joanne and Graham were married at St Helen's at Saxby. A lovely, unusual church built as a parish church and mausoleum.The two alcoves, one either side of the main door, were decorated with a fishbowl.
The windowsills were also decorated with a fishbowl each. These contained a delphinium, eustoma, sweetpeas, eryngium, freesia, roses, eucalyptus and bear grass. They were designed as a tall tied arrangement. These were also doubling up as table centres for the reception at The White Hart hotel, so although height was required I couldn't fill them out too much otherwise guests would be unable to see each other.
As the couple had 8 tables and only 6 were needed in church, (4 windows, 2 alcoves) we used the other two bowls either side the Altar area.

The Stone Arms Pub, Skellingthorpe

Katerina's wedding reception was held at The Stone Arms pub in Skellingthorpe.

The gerbera theme was continued with fish bowls of mixed germinis and bear grass.

The Stone Arms had long tables for the guests with burgundy table cloths.
Katerina had asked for the same colour mix but to exclude pink.

Hemswell Court

Rachel's wedding reception was held at Hemswell Court. The colour scheme of yellow and purple was to be carried through with us providing purple calla lilies in fish bowls. Nothing else was to be added on the brides request.We used five 'Schwarzwalder' Calla lilies per bowl and stood them on mirrors provided by the venue. We can hire them out if necessary.
The tables were laid using pale yellow cloths and yellow napkins.
The top table here is a large oval table and therefore can stand a larger display. Unfortunately this is the best photo I have as the tables were still being set up. It consisted of yellow roses, germini, carnations, alstroemeria and purple eustoma, trachelium and stocks.
There were twelve tables in all and this is only half the room as the rest was still being dressed by the chair cover ladies.

We also provided two thank you hand-ties for the Mums, in matching colours.

The Bentley Hotel

A pink inspired wedding for a small gathering.

As the tables were the long type with guests sitting either side, the flowers had to be compact. Small fish bowls were chosen with a single pink hydrangea placed on top of glass 'ice' with bear grass strands.

We also made a corsage for the bride and 2 guests and 2 male buttonholes. Unfortunately we didn't manage to take photos of them.

White Hart Hotel (Lincoln)

Ginny's wedding reception from Monday was held at The White Hart Hotel in Lincoln. The guest tables were decorated with small fish bowls with blue hydrangea flower heads and aspidistra leaves. Both the bowls and the mirrors were on hire from us.
The top table had two bowls instead of the traditional long and low design.
