Ivory, red and orange wedding flowers

These are Polly and Chris' flowers from their wedding back in November. The bridal bouquets were to be kept neutral with a hint of autumn.
Polly's hand-tied bouquet included ivory roses with dark red hypericum berries with bupleurum and salal leaves. The stems were part bound with ivory satin ribbon.
The two bridesmaids both carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory roses, bupleurum and salal leaves.
The flower girl carried a miniature version.
The grooms buttonhole matched his brides flowers, being a single ivory rose with a few hypericum berries, bupleurum and salal leaves.
The mums each wore a rose and freesia corsage.
The rest of the bridal party were given a single ivory rose buttonhole to wear.
The table centres were a lovely vibrant mix of seasonal flowers in autumnal colours. They were arranged in a glass cylinder, available to hire, and included orange gerberas, red hypericum berries, carnations, ranunculus, deep red English chrysants, bupleurum and cotinus foliage.
Polly had asked for two of these for the top table, one at either end.

The reception was held at The Dovecote, near Swinderby.

A bank holiday wedding

Having got waylaid over the last few months, I hope to now finish posting 2011 weddings.

This is Hailey and Keith's wedding from August bank holiday weekend. They were a fantastic couple who had great ideas about their flowers but who ultimately left it to me to fulfil their wishes.
The bridal bouquet was of a hand-tied design with lots of lovely summer flowers which included freesia, eustoma, veronica, roses, agapanthus, spray roses and lavender. These together with eucalyptus made for a very scented bouquet.

As the bridesmaids wore teal dresses it was decided to have an array of colours toning in from pinks to purples with added white.
The three bridesmaids all carried a similar bouquet to the bride but smaller in size.
The groom wore a white rose with freesia and agapanthus and eucalyptus leaves which unfortunately we didn't have time to photograph.
This is one of two buttonholes that the best man and father of the bride wore. A single rose with agapanthus florets.
The mum's each wore a corsage of a white rose and freesias with eucalyptus, tree fern and lavender foliage.
Other favoured guests were presented with a single white rose buttonhole.

Emerald green and ivory wedding flowers

These are Hayley's wedding flowers from August.

Hayley's bridesmaid wore long emerald green dresses and so we decided to keep all the flowers ivory with added foliage for the brides bouquet. Hayley loved this hand-tied design of all ivory roses with ruscus leaves between the flowers and folded aspidistra leaves around the outside. Diamante were added to half the roses for added sparkle. The stems were bound with emerald satin ribbon with a silver thin ribbon overlay.
The three adult bridesmaids each carried a simple bouquet of 3 ivory roses with the stems bound the same as the brides.
The groom wore a double rose buttonhole with the rest of the men wearing a single.
The ladies wore an ivory corsage of an ivory rose, rolled rose petals and ivory alstroemeria.

The wedding flowers of Joanne and Graham from July.
This was a country style wedding in ivory and shades of purple.
Joanne's bouquet was a hand-tied design which trailed at the front. The flowers agreed on were purple eustoma, freesia, September and Gletzer roses with various foliage.
Two of the bridesmaids carried a similar hand-tied bouquet but in a posy shape.
The third bridesmaid wore a matching wrist corsage of a Gletzer rose with purple eustoma and sweet peas on an ivory pearl wristband.
For the hair I provide two combs of eustoma, September and rolled rose petals with fountain grass. Also for the bride a handful of individually wired September flowers for the hairdresser to add to the hairstyle.
The groom's buttonhole was a single Gletzer rose with purple eustoma flowers and buds and asparagus fern and eucalyptus leaves.
The grooms-men wore a single rose buttonhole with asparagus fern.

Gretna Green Wedding

I was asked by a friend and customer if I would be able to supply flowers for her son's wedding to be held at Gretna Green. Of course I can but they just have to be careful on the flowers chosen, as they were transporting them up there themselves the day before.

Cath, the bride, came in to discuss her options and we both decided a hand-tie would be the better design, for one thing it could be transported in a vase of water.
As colour scheme was to be red and ivory, Cath decided to carry red passion roses with diamante detail and ivory ribbon part way around the stems.

The two adult bridesmaids each carried a hand-tie posy of ivory calla lilies with ivory ribbon to complement their red dresses. The flower girl carried a small posy of red passion roses to match the bride. The grooms wore a double rose buttonhole.
The Mother of The Groom wore an ivory rose with gyp, bear grass and ruscus foliage.
The Mother of the Bride wore a corsage of red rose and dianthus sweet william.
The top table was a long and low design of white and red roses, carnations, alstroemeria, sweet william, and stallion chrysants.
All the bouquets were placed in a box, in vases of water well secured and packed. The buttonholes all had individual files of water, again securely fastened in a box. The bride and groom were then given instructions on how to look after them overnight and what to do before the ceremony.

We also supplied part of the table displays but these were artificial roses in small glass bowls with glass stones.

We were really pleased when two days after the wedding both the bride and groom came in to thank us for the flowers. They had lasted really well, so good in fact they had brought them home again and were now on display at home.

Dolce Vita Rose and freesias

Dolce Vita, a lovely rose, was the centre of Jen's wedding flowers at the beginning of June.
The bridesmaids dresses were a 3/4 length floaty style dress in blue, but Jen didn't want to have blue flowers as this would have made the overall effect quite cool for a summer wedding. By chance when she called in we had some gorgeous two tone, pink and white roses in that she loved. These were to take centre stage, flower wise.

The brides bouquet, a tear-drop shape, had Dolce Vita roses, white freesia and ruscus.
The three bridesmaids all carried a gorgeous hand-tie posy of Dolce Vita roses and ruscus, tied together with a pink satin bow.
The mums wore a simple corsage of a Dolce vita rose with white freesia flowers.
The groom and his men each wore a single white buttonhole.
A small white rose buttonhole for the younger member.
