A peacock inspired wedding

 Sarah and Dan's wedding was a colourful affair based on the gorgeous jewelled tones of the peacock feather. These HAD to be incorporated into all the designs. The flowers being included were largely left to me to get the best blooms available at the time as long as they stayed in the blue/purple/pink palette
Sarah's bouquet was a mix of purple lisianthus, freesia, stocks, alliums, Ocean song roses, Blue delphiniums and pink astilbe with a good amount of peacock eye feathers in. The stems were bound in purple ribbon and pinned with blue pearl headed pins..

 The two adult bridesmaids carried a very similar but smaller bouquet.

 The smaller bridesmaid carried a smaller still bouquet,

 and the flower girl carried a silver heart wand with purple lisianthus flowers, lilac ribbon and bows with the all important peacock eye feathers.

 The groom's buttonhole was a collection of an Ocean song rose, purple freesia and lisianthus and a peacock feather.

 The rest of the bridal party wore a single Ocean song rose buttonhole with feather.

Ivory and purple bridal flowers

 Emma's colour scheme was ivory and purple. The best purple flower is eustoma and so this is where we started with the flowers. Emma decided on a hand-tied design and loved a similar design I had made previously with all roses and foliage. We kept on the same design with ivory roses, purple eustoma and gyp with a little tree fern and salal as a collar.

 The stems were bound with foliage with thin ivory ribbon pinned around to add to the design.

 The two adult bridesmaids carried a similar style bouquet but with just the roses and gyp to stand out agains.

 The younger bridesmaid carried a smaller version of the brides.

 The flower girl carried a silver heart wand with a couple of purple eustoma and a sprig of gyp.

The groom wore a buttonhole of an ivory rose, gyp and eustoma buds.

The rest of the bridal party wore single ivory rose buttonholes.

Calla lilies and Gerberas

 These are the wedding flowers of David and Katie who were married back in July. David has been a customer of ours for some time and so it was a delight to finally meet Katie in person.
Their colour scheme was purple and white and Katie loves gerberas, with David liking the calla lilies and there we had the flowers sorted! The brides bouquet was white gerberas, picasso and schwartzwalder callas with salal foliage. The stems were bound in ribbon matching the bridesmaid dresses.

As a surprise for Katie, David asked us to make a replica of the bouquet in silk as Katie had already said she wanted to lay the fresh bouquet on a family grave and would be disappointed to leave it.

 The adult bridesmaid carried a similar bouquet but with just the white gerberas and picasso callas.

 The two flower girls both carried a crystal bead wand with a picasso calla and ribbon.

 The groom and best man each wore a picasso calla lily buttonhole with bear grass and foliage loops. These then had purple wire wrapped around the stems.

The rest of the grooms-men wore a similar calla lily buttonhole.

 The ladies each wore a calla lily buttonhole with lavender flowers and foliage loops.

We also provided a calla lily wrist corsage with lavender flowers and various foliage.

White and Gold wedding

Kayleigh's wedding flowers from August.

The bride wanted a simple hand-tie to include roses and fell in love with this design. White roses with lots of alchemilla mollis filling out the bouquet with a collar of salal leaves. The stems were wrapped in gold ribbon to match the bridesmaids dresses.
The two bridesmaids carried a similar but smaller design.
The three flower girls each carried a gold star wand with a single white rose and sprig of alchemilla mollis and a gold bow.
The men each wore a single white rose buttonhole with alchemilla mollis to match the brides bouquet.
The ladies each wore a simple corsage of a white rose, feathered carnation petals and stallion chrysant heads.

Lisianthus wedding

Here we have Gemma's wedding flowers from July. Her colour theme was purple and white and she loved lisianthus. Her bouquet was a mix of purple, white with purple edging and white lisianthus. Also included was some fountain grass and a collar of salal leaves. The stems were bound with purple ribbon attached with small pearl headed pins.The three bridesmaids were wearing purple and each carried a similar bouquet but with the white and white with purple edge lisianthus.
The little flower girl carried a silver wand with white and white/purple lisianthus with fountain grass and a salal leaf.
All the men's buttonholes were white/purple lisianthus with asparagus fern.
The ladies wore a white lisianthus corsage with fountain grass, asparagus fern and gyp.
The reception was held at The White Hart (Lincoln). (2nd time for us this weekend) Unfortunately the tables were not ready for us on delivery, so we couldn't get any photos.

The table centres Gemma chose were a small fishbowl with 3 purple edged carnations sitting on glass 'ice' with bear grass swirls. She had decided to make her own centrepieces but on us giving a quote she realised it was better to leave it to us.
We also provided all the flowers for the church ladies so everything matched.

Just so you know:

Lisianthus and Eustoma are the same flower, some call it one, some the other.

Pink and White Wedding Flowers

Tanya's wedding flowers from July.

This is a modern wired shower bouquet of pink Asiatic lilies and white roses with bear grass loops. The wire handle was covered in white satin ribbon.
The 3 adult bridesmaids each wore a wrist corsage of dark pink roses and freesia with fountain grass, ruscus leaves and bear grass loops. They were attached to a white pearl wrist band.
The 3 flower girls all carried a simple star wand with pale pink feathers and ribbon bow.
The groom wore a double rose buttonhole, 1 each of white and pale pink with ruscus leaves and bear grass.
The groomsmen each wore a single white rose buttonhole.
The mother's corsage was simply of freesias.

Purple and Yellow wedding flowers.

Rachel came to us following a recommendation from her friend who we had previously created wedding flowers for.

Her colour scheme was an unusual wedding combination of yellow and purple and she wanted this to continue through all the flowers.

The brides hand-tie consisted of yellow roses, germini, purple eustoma, trachelium, september and statice, all stems bound up with purple ribbon and pinned with yellow pins.
The two bridesmaids carried a smaller version of the brides bouquet to compliment their purple gowns and yellow shoes.
The two flower girls carried a silver heart shaped wand with a single yellow germini and purple eustoma flowers with a purple bow.
The grooms buttonhole was a single yellow rose and eustoma flowers with buds.
The Mother of the Bride and Groom wore matching purple corsages. A purple calla lily with eustoma flowers and buds, trachelium and september flowers.
The groom's men each wore a single yellow rose buttonhole.

White rose wedding flowers

Julie's wedding flowers from 25th September.

A small family wedding with a few flowers is how Julie described her day. Nothing too large, just a simple posy to carry.

The brides bouquet was 6 white roses with ivy trails tied with a white organza bow.

The two bridesmaids each carried 3 white roses with ivy.
The flower girl carried a gold wand with a small white rose and ivy leaves with ribbon trails.
The two ladies each wore a corsage of white freesia and ivy leaves.
The groom and 5 of his men wore a single white rose buttonhole.
The rest of the guests were presented with a white carnation buttonhole.
It was lovely to see Julie on the Monday morning to thank us for the flowers and to tell us how the day went.
