Claire's reception was held at the Ruston Sports and Social Club. (Where we are one of their preferred florists)

Ivory and Turquoise wedding

Alison's wedding from 21 March at The Lincoln Hotel.
The theme was ivory and turquoise and as this is difficult to match with flowers, feathers were used.
The brides bouquet was a hand-tie posy of fresh ivory germini and roses with turquoise feathers through the flowers to tone in with the bridesmaids dresses.
The bridesmaids had artificial gerbera hand-tie posies with turquoise feathers forming a collar of colour. There was 2 adult bridesmaids, who had larger bouquets, and 4 smaller bridesmaids.

The male buttonholes were a single rose with feathers as backing and the ladies had a rose and freesia corsage again with added feathers.

The wedding was at The Lincoln Hotel but unfortunately it was on the same day as the Lincoln 10KM run and so entrance to the venue was tricky. To those of you unfamiliar with the route it goes right by the venue and all roads in the area are closed from around 9am -noon at the earliest. The wedding was at 1pm. We decided that leaving set up untill after the race was cutting it fine, with guests having to arrive aswell, so we arranged with the venue to take all table centres and registrars table arrangement up before it started leaving them to place on the tables once they had breakfast out of the way.

The guest table centres were a square lily vase with 3 ivory gerberas and bear grass.

The registrars table was a long and low of gerberas, roses, freesia and other ivory filler flowers with plenty of turquoise feathers in. This photo has gone missing.

As we were early delivering I don't have a photo of the room set up.

Apparently all went well on the day and everyone got there on time with no delays because of the race.

Skellingthorpe Methodist Chapel

For the wedding of Becky, see below, we were asked to provide flowers for the service being held in Skellingthorpe Methodist Chapel. Becky wanted a pedestal either side of the altar table and then an arrangement to sit on the table, plus arrangements in the windows. They all wanted to be fairly simple with the colour theme important.

The window displays consist of akito roses, eryngium, cyclamen, eucalyptus and delianne displayed in a container that has been covered in navy blue material tied with ivory ribbon. This stood out well on the all white widow ledges of the chapel.

The pedestals had a variety of foliage, white carnations, ivory germini,delianne,white chrysants, eryngium and aconitum. These had more white in so as to balance the dark blue out.

The table display had the same flowers and also included some akito roses to tie in with the bridal flowers.

The window displays also doubled up for table centres for the reception at the White Hart Hotel and the Altar table doubled up for the top table. We provided boxes to the wedding party and some-one was put on flower duty to be in charge of transporting them to the reception.

Ivory and Lime green wedding

Sam and Jonny's wedding at Branston Hall on 21 August 2009.

The brides bouquet was a simple hand-tie of maroussia roses, alchemilla mollis, sweet william 'green trick' and salal leaves. This was finished off with ivory ribbon around the stems and pinned. The bridesmaids was a smaller version.

For the registrars table we arranged ivory lilies, gerberas, maroussia roses, and spray carnations along with alchemilla mollis, salal, and bupleurum to keep the colour theme of ivory and lime green going.

The tables arrangements at Branston Hall were, per table, a single stem of ivory lily and bear grass in a vase supplied by Sam finished off with apple green sisal to support the stem.

The pictures taken of the reception tables are before Branston Hall had finished setting up and are taken in the bar area as the main part of the Churchill suite was set up for the ceremony.

Kelham Hall

This is Kelham Hall all set up for the reception. The top table display will be added after the ceremony. The posies consisted of ivory germinis, pink larkspur, pink hydrangeas and small amounts of mixed foliage. The top table had sweet avalanche and maroussia roses aswell.

This is the Music room where the civil ceremony took place. The pedestals had ivory stocks, delphiniums, gerberas, sweet avalanche roses and pink hydrangeas.

These are the top table/registrars table and guest table posies. The look we wanted to achieve was of a vintage English garden without taking away from the gorgeous setting of the venue.

The bottom image is Laura's bridal hand-tie consisting of sweet avalanche roses, noisette verdi roses and white eustoma. The other hand-tie is her bridesmaids of sweet avalanche and maroussia roses. Both had completely ribboned stems with a bow to finish.
