Black baccara and Gletzer roses

Nicola's bridal bouquet.

As Nicola and her future husband lived away all correspondence was done through her future Mother-In-Law. I was given a photo of a bouquet Nicola had found on the Internet and asked to create this in her colours of burgundy and cream.

Black baccara roses were chosen as burgundy with gletzer roses as a pale cream to compliment the gyp and tree fern.
The stems were wrapped in ivory satin ribbon.
We also provided buttonholes for the bridal party.

We understand the bride was highly delighted with her flowers and received this card a few days after the event.

Ivory and pale pink roses

Mary's wedding from 14th May.

Mary decided to carry a hand-tie design of roses, gyp and foliage. We used ivory and very pale pink roses to add some warmth. The tree fern and gyp softened the design with salal leaves forming a collar. The stems are covered in foliage and finished off with a thin satin ribbon wound decoratively around.
The five bridesmaids all carried a similar but smaller design to compliment their brown dresses and silver accessories.
The Mother of the bride wore a corsage of ivory roses, spray roses, gyp and tree fern.
The grooms-men all wore a single ivory rose buttonhole.

White and Purple wedding

Time to catch up with what's been happening this year.

Our first wedding of the year back in the second week of January.

The bride wore purple and wanted a mixed country style bouquet of whites and purple/lilac. White Akito roses, lilac freesia and purple eustoma with eucalyptus and tree fern were chosen. The stems were bound with purple ribbon and pinned. (The vase is used for transportation.)
The 4 buttonholes were akito roses with tree fern with an extra couple of freesia flowers for the groom.

Ivory rose wedding

Nikki's wedding from Saturday.

This was a church wedding and fortunately for the bride and groom it was being held on the open weekend for churches in their area and as such would be decorated with flowers anyway. So all left for me to arrange was the bridal flowers and buttonholes.
Nikki brought in a picture of a bouquet she wanted me to re-create. We chose the gorgeous Maroussia rose as it is large headed and scented. These together with gyp, tree fern and salal tips create a stunning classic bouquet. The stems are entirely bound together with an aspidistra leaf and thin ivory satin ribbon was then wound around this to add detail and interest to the handle.
Her bridesmaid had a similar design but with less roses to make it smaller.
The groom wore a maroussia rose buttonhole with gyp, salal and tree fern.
The men wore a single maroussia rose buttonhole with tree fern and the ladies had similar but with a sprig of gyp.

Thank you bouquets were provided for the reception speeches.

A Classic White Wedding

A classic white wedding theme was chosen by Louise for her wedding on Saturday.
After much thought a traditional tear-drop design was chosen for the bridal bouquet with white avalanche roses, white crystal blush calla lily and ivory Asiatic lily. Soft ruscus and tree fern provided a dark green background for the flowers.The butterflies were provided by the bride to be included in her bouquet as they were being used throughout the wedding.
The Maid of Honour had a hand-tie posy of 3 avalanche roses and 3 heads of ivory oriental lily with a few sprigs of tree fern. All bound together with ivory satin ribbon finished off with a small bow.
The two other bridesmaids carried a simple posy of 3 avalanche roses with sprigs of tree fern. Finished off as above.
The two Mothers had a very simple yet elegant spray of freesia with silver ting ting and a silver bow to complement their outfits.
The groom wore a single white crystal blush calla lily with ruscus and tree fern to match the bridal bouquet.
The rest of the men from the bridal party wore a single avalanche rose buttonhole with tree fern.
