Bordeaux and Ivory Gerbera Wedding Flowers

This is Claire's wedding from Saturday.
A lovely, non-fussy, wedding based on gorgeous gerbera flowers.
Claire's bridesmaids wore bordeaux coloured dresses and we colour matched this as closely as possible for the brides bouquet. Designed to be carried over the arm, the style works best with big flowers, giving each bloom room to show off. Backed by a deep green aspidistra leaf and three folded leaves at the base give it a structured look, bear grass is added to create movement.
The stems were completely bound with matching satin ribbon and pinned with pearl headed pins.
Claire's older bridesmaid carried a similar design with bordeaux and ivory gerberas to compliment her dress.
The 3 young bridesmaids each carried a small basket of bordeaux and ivory germinis with ruscus foliage and matching ribboned handles.
The corsages were based on germinis with amaranthus and various foliage.
The male buttonholes again were bordeaux germinis and dark green foliage.

Ivory and white table displays

We were asked to provide 3 table displays in scented ivory and white flowers for a wedding breakfast at the Wig and Mitre on Steep Hill.
I chose white oriental lilies, white dutch roses and freesia for their scent and for filler used white 'stallion' chrysants.

De Vere Belton Woods Hotel

Nicola's wedding reception was held in the Hawthorn Suite at De Vere Belton Woods Hotel. A lovely light room with large windows overlooking the golf course.
The top table is a huge oval table and as such needs a large display to fill the space. Glacier roses, white eustoma, dahlias, alstroemaria, bouvardia, carnations and button chrysants were used with palm and aspidistra leaves and other foliage.
As it is such a large table we decided it could take a wine glass arrangement at either end in matching flowers. These were used as thank you's after the speeches.

Nicola liked the fish bowl arrangements for her guest tables. These had three glacier roses floating on water each having a diamante pin in the centre. Bear grass was swirled around the inside of the bowls.
We placed each bowl on a round mirror enabling the light to be reflected back through the glass.

Rose, Eustoma and bouvardia wedding flowers

Nicola's wedding flowers from last Friday. She had done quite a bit of research into the flowers she wanted for her wedding and as such was quite specific in what was required. I was given pictures of how she wanted the bouquets to look as well as all the buttonholes. Nicola was however open to advice on the flower varieties which would work best.
For the brides bouquet roses and eustoma were requested and bouvardia if possible. We agreed that Glacier rose, fabulous scent, worked well with white eustoma and white bouvardia with soft ruscus foliage.

The bridesmaid, her sister, carried a hand-tie of glacier roses, white eustoma and bouvardia with a collar of hard ruscus foliage.
The stems were bound by material left over from the making of the bides veil.Unfortunately we didn't have time to photograph all the buttonholes and corsages required.
