Back we go to the start of the wedding season. Our first bride was on Mothering Sunday, not a day we generally agree to do weddings but Hayley wanted simple designs for her and her maids with a few buttonholes so we agreed.
Hayley's bouquet was a mass of white calla lilies with aspidistra leaves curled around them with the stems bound with another leaf and pinned with pearl headed pins.
The five bridesmaids each carried an overarm bouquet of six white gerberas with aspidistra leaves, to tie in with the brides flowers, and bear grass. The stems were bound with white satin ribbon.
The groom wore a white calla lily buttonhole with curled aspidistra strips and bear grass while the grooms-men each wore a single white germini buttonhole.

An all white affair
An all white wedding.
A December wedding where the only colour was to be white. The brides hand-tie was three snowball chrysanthemums surrounded by akito roses a collar of white feathers. (Apologies for the quality of the photos but white on white just doesn't take and we were short for time.)
The bridesmaid carried a hand-tied bouquet of akito roses and white feathers.
All the buttonholes ready to be presented to the bridal party.

The Lincoln Golf Centre
Kayleigh's wedding reception was held at The Lincoln Golf Centre at Thorpe-on-the-Hill.
The top table was a long and low design of whites and creams, including lilies, roses, germini, carnations and stallion chysants.
Top table design in situ.
The table centres were small fish bowls with a plain ivory candle standing on a bed of crushed 'ice'. Kayleigh had wanted to make these herself but on being given a quote (for hiring of the vases and ice) it was as cheap to leave it to us. We deliver on the morning of the wedding and set them on the tables, giving the bride more time to get ready.
The top table.
The Lincoln suite all ready to greet the bride and groom.

Please do ask your venue on the suitability of using candles before you decide you definitely want them. Some venues will not allow them to be lit.

Lincoln County Assembly Rooms
These table centres at The Lincoln County Assembly Rooms were for a 'do' back in November.
We were asked to create table rings in any flower but the colour must be neutral. We chose whites and cream germini, hydrangea, stallion chysants and gyp.

White rose wedding flowers
Sarah's wedding flowers from 10th October.
The bridal bouquet was a mass of akito roses with a few spikes of ruscus to break up the colour. Around the edge was a collar of curled aspidistra leaves, and to give a little sparkle, diamante's were added to a few of the roses. The stems were bound with matching satin ribbon.
The 3 bridesmaids carried a small posy of 3 akito roses each with a diamante tied with matching ribbon.
The groom and father of the bride each wore a double flower buttonhole. A white calla lily and white akito rose, with ruscus foliage.
A white corsage of spray roses and freesia.
a single akito rose buttonhole worn by a selection of the other guests.

White rose wedding flowers
Julie's wedding flowers from 25th September.
The two bridesmaids each carried 3 white roses with ivy.
The flower girl carried a gold wand with a small white rose and ivy leaves with ribbon trails.
The two ladies each wore a corsage of white freesia and ivy leaves.
The groom and 5 of his men wore a single white rose buttonhole.
The rest of the guests were presented with a white carnation buttonhole.
It was lovely to see Julie on the Monday morning to thank us for the flowers and to tell us how the day went.
A small family wedding with a few flowers is how Julie described her day. Nothing too large, just a simple posy to carry.
The brides bouquet was 6 white roses with ivy trails tied with a white organza bow.

The Old Palace, Lincoln
Rachel and Mark's Wedding reception was held in the Kings Room at The Old Palace Lincoln. Situated near the Cathedral it is a relatively new reception venue.
Rachel wanted classic but simple arrangements so as not to overpower the lovely set up of the room. The top table is situated along the back wall allowing views through the large windows which overlook Lincoln.
The top table design was a long and low incorporating aspidistra leaves and baby blue eucalyptus with white calla lilies, gerberas, akito roses and eustoma.
But with the height of the ceiling tall arrangements work best. Medium black vases were chosen to hold a display of white calla lilies and gerberas with aspidistra leaves and bear grass.
The massive fire surround had a black vase either side of 5 white gerberas and bear grass.
The King Room fully dressed awaiting the bride and groom.

Rachel had asked about flowers for her cake and had seen a design she particularly liked. We altered it slightly to tie in with her flowers. White akito roses and eucalyptus formed a spray on the middle and bottom tier with a length of eucalyptus joining each tier.
We also made two Thank you hand-ties of oriental lilies, gerberas and eucalyptus to be presented with the speeches.

Branston Hall
The last instalment from Saturday.
This is the bar area at night, the tables are kept in here while the ceremony takes place next door and then moved while the bridal party has the photographs taken outside.

The Churchill Suite dressed for the wedding ceremony.
The registrars table display. Hannah sent me a photo which she had found and asked if I could recreate it in her flowers. The flowers are Oriental lily, maroussia roses, eustoma, carnations and small button chrysants.
Two bay trees were placed either side of the entrance to the room, placed so when you walk down the corridor you will first notice one then as you turn to walk in you will see the other.

Hannah's ceremony and reception were held at Branston Hall. As it was a late pm wedding we arrived at dinner to deliver the bridal flowers and to set the table displays.
Hannah had wanted to keep it simple for the tables so in keeping with her flowers we arranged 3 maroussia roses with bear grass in tall clear vases.

White Wedding Flowers
This is our 3Rd and final wedding from Saturday.
Hannah initially got in touch via e-mail through this blog to enquire about us being involved with her wedding. As she lives away most of the correspondence was done via e-mail and the phone. Pictures and ideas were sent, thought about and eventually we came up with the ideas below.
Hannah's bouquet was a trailing posy of white and ivory flowers. These were oriental lily, freesia, veronica, eustoma and maroussia roses with various foliage. The trailing part was simply strands of bear grass.
Her four maids carried an overarm style bouquet of 3 maroussia rose with aspidistra leaves and bear grass. The stems were completely bound in matching satin ribbon.
The flower girl carried a cute gold star wand decorated with a single akito rose with matching ribbon trails.
There were many buttonholes and corsages for this wedding;
A corsage to be attached to a small handbag of veronica, freesia, eustoma and a small sprig of gyp.
Two wrist corsages of a maroussia rose, freesia, eustoma, veronica and foliage on n ivory pearl wrist band.
A traditional corsage for a jacket lapel of the same flowers as the bag corsage.
The grooms buttonhole, in keeping with the brides bouquet, of a single maroussia rose and freesia florets.
1 of 2 single maroussia rose buttonholes.
3 double rose buttonholes of maroussia and avalanche roses.
1 of 5 single carnation buttonholes.
