Oriental lily and rose wedding

Katie and Jamie's wedding from May.

The bride wanted to incorporate oriental lilies into her bouquet, but wanted to keep it quite neat. The bouquet I designed had the lilies as the focal flower with white roses used to add length and shape to the design. Baby blue eucalyptus also added shape and interest. The scent of this bouquet was gorgeous.
Katie's four bridesmaids all carried a simple design of 3 lily heads wired together with baby blue eucalyptus. The stems were covered with ivory satin ribbon.
The grooms men all wore buttonholes of a single white rose with baby blue eucalyptus.
The two mums wore corsages of white roses and freesia.

The Old Palace, Lincoln

Rachel and Mark's Wedding reception was held in the Kings Room at The Old Palace Lincoln. Situated near the Cathedral it is a relatively new reception venue.
Rachel wanted classic but simple arrangements so as not to overpower the lovely set up of the room. The top table is situated along the back wall allowing views through the large windows which overlook Lincoln.
The top table design was a long and low incorporating aspidistra leaves and baby blue eucalyptus with white calla lilies, gerberas, akito roses and eustoma.
But with the height of the ceiling tall arrangements work best. Medium black vases were chosen to hold a display of white calla lilies and gerberas with aspidistra leaves and bear grass.
The massive fire surround had a black vase either side of 5 white gerberas and bear grass.
The King Room fully dressed awaiting the bride and groom.

Rachel had asked about flowers for her cake and had seen a design she particularly liked. We altered it slightly to tie in with her flowers. White akito roses and eucalyptus formed a spray on the middle and bottom tier with a length of eucalyptus joining each tier.
We also made two Thank you hand-ties of oriental lilies, gerberas and eucalyptus to be presented with the speeches.

Calla lily and rose wedding

The wedding of Rachel and Mark from Saturday.
The brides bouquet was a loose tear-drop design with white akito roses and picasso calla lily. These have a gorgeous deep purple throat with a white outer edge. The foliage was eucalyptus baby blue, a particular favourite of the bride.
The four bridesmaids all carried a hand-tie of white crystal blush calla lilies with aspidistra leaves folded to form a collar. The stems were also wrapped with a leaf and held with pearl headed pins.
The groom wore a matching picasso calla lily to his bride with strips of aspidistra leaf and bear grass.
The rest of the bridal party wore a single crystal blush calla lily and foliage.

A colour mix of Hyacinths, cerise pink carnations with baby blue eucalyptus and ruscus foliage create this colourful and scented arrangement. Midelino sticks and a mirrored cube add a modern twist to an old fashioned flower selection.
Carnations are making a comeback with some fabulous new colours coming available.

Birthday arrangement

We received an e-mail from a lady in Vancouver a few days ago requesting an arrangement for a family members birthday who is local to us. This is what we sent out.

It is in a cream zinc bowl and it has anthuriums, gerberas, shamrock chrysants, freesia, roses, eustoma, lily, palm leaves and baby blue eucalyptus.

Once delivered we sent a photo and e-mail to our customer confirming delivery to show what we sent. We received this reply:

Thank you so much for the follow up and the photo. The arrangement looks beautiful!

I'm sure it made her day extra special!!

Take care,

Sally
