Hemswell Court

Lynn and Daniel had chosen Hemswell court as their reception venue. It tied in nicely being the Primrose room with the chosen bridal colours.
The top table here is a large oval table. Lynn chose a long and low design with blue hydrangea and agapanthus, vanilla sky roses, freesia and alstroemeria.
The guest tables and either end of the top table were round lily vases with three vanilla sky roses and bear grass.

Hemswell Court ready and waiting for the Bride and Groom to arrive.

St John the Baptist Scampton

Lynn and Daniel were married at St John the Baptist church at Scampton village. They requested a church pedestal which included blue hydrangeas, yellow roses and alstroemeria and white lily and gladioli.
The pew ends were decorated with alternating bows of blue and white.
The pedestal would later be taken up to the reception venue.

Yellow roses, white freesia and blue agapanthus

These are the wedding flowers from Lynn and Daniels wedding on August bank holiday weekend.
Lynn wanted a traditional shower type bouquet but as she isn't very tall didn't want anything to large. We decided on a small teardrop with roses, freesia and agapanthus and feathery tree fern. This helped to keep the bouquet light and delicate in terms of both weight and visual impact. Lynn was concerned with the yellow roses and so I sent her images and names of several I had in mind and some bolder choices so she could pick the shade she wanted. She eventually chose 'Vanilla sky" which is a lovely pale yellow and tones well with the blue and white.
Lynn had two maids, they both carried a hand-tie posy of yellow freesia and white roses to compliment their blue gowns. The stems were bound with blue satin ribbon.
The groom wore a single white rose buttonhole.
The men of the bridal party each wore a single 'vanilla sky' rose buttonhole.
The two ladies each wore a white freesia corsage.

Rose and gerbera wedding

Suzanne's wedding flowers from August. She wanted her flowers to be unfussy but pretty to match the wedding colour theme of pink. We eventually settled on a mix of roses and germini in white and baby pink. Suzanne also requested some sparkle in her bouquet so some diamanté were added to the centre of the roses. The stems were wrapped in matching pink ribbon and held with more diamanté pins.

The three bridesmaids carried a hand-tie posy of germinis in white, baby and cerise pink, with stems bound in white satin ribbon.
All the men wore white germini buttonholes with ruscus foliage.
The two mums wore a white germini wrist corsage on an ivory pearl band.

A last minute wedding

Back in August I received a phone call on a Wednesday for wedding flowers on the Friday, could I help? As the shop had a good variety of flowers and the groom who was ordering them left colours to me, I said yes. The only colours he gave me were the dresses, the bride was wearing red and bridesmaids pink.
This was the brides hand-tied bouquet.
A selection of white and ivory flowers including lilies, germinis, hydrangea and roses with mixed foliage.
The three bridesmaids bouquets were of white hydrangea and roses and pink germini and spray roses.
Also requested were 4 table arrangements for display at the reception which was being held at their home. For these I used glass cubes in two designs.
One a longer, lower design using white hydrangea and freesia with pink alstroemeria and lilies.
The other a taller arrangement with white freesia and lilies with pink roses and gerberas.
There were also a handful of rose buttonholes.
A last minute wedding can sometimes work, as on this occasion, but it does depend on what is in stock and how flexible you are on what you have. My advice is always the more notice you can give the better choice you will have.
