Argos

Now Argos have been revamped and have a gorgeous jewellery counter we have been invited to display flowers once again.

A hand tied arrangement of white alstroemeria and gyp with lush dark green foliage are displayed in a glass bowl with green midelino sticks and glass nuggets.

Pink rose and white lily wedding

Sarah's wedding flowers from Saturday.

Gorgeous two tone pink roses and white lilies with lush dark green foliage arranged in a hand tied bouquet. The stems were bound in dusky pink satin ribbon.
The two bridesmaids carried a matching but smaller bouquet with stems bound in white satin ribbon.
The bridal party buttonholes were single white roses with ruscus foliage.

White rose and pale blue feather brides bouquet.

A brides white rose and pale blue feather tear-drop bouquet from last Saturday. A single pale blue butterfly nestles in amongst the roses with diamanté detail.

The Old Palace, Lincoln

Rachel and Mark's Wedding reception was held in the Kings Room at The Old Palace Lincoln. Situated near the Cathedral it is a relatively new reception venue.

Rachel wanted classic but simple arrangements so as not to overpower the lovely set up of the room. The top table is situated along the back wall allowing views through the large windows which overlook Lincoln.

The top table design was a long and low incorporating aspidistra leaves and baby blue eucalyptus with white calla lilies,gerberas, akito roses and eustoma.
But with the height of the ceiling tall arrangements work best. Medium black vases were chosen to hold a display of white calla lilies and gerberas with aspidistra leaves and bear grass.
The massive fire surround had a black vase either side of 5 white gerberas and bear grass.

Rachel had asked about flowers for her cake and had seen a design she particularly liked. We altered it slightly to tie in with her flowers. White akito roses and eucalyptus formed a spray on the middle and bottom tier with a length of eucalyptus joining each tier.
We also made two Thank you hand-ties of oriental lilies, gerberas and eucalyptus to be presented with the speeches.

Calla lily and rose wedding

The wedding of Rachel and Mark from Saturday.

The brides bouquet was a loose tear-drop design with white akito roses and picasso calla lily. These have a gorgeous deep purple throat with a white outer edge. The foliage was eucalyptus baby blue, a particular favourite of the bride.
The four bridesmaids all carried a hand-tie of white crystal blush calla lilies with aspidistra leaves folded to form a collar. The stems were also wrapped with a leaf and held with pearl headed pins.
The groom wore a matching picasso calla lily to his bride with strips of aspidistra leaf and bear grass.
The rest of the bridal party wore a single crystal blush calla lily and foliage.

Jocastas

The civil wedding and reception of Kelly at Jocastas.

The registrars table centre piece was a long and low arrangement which after the service would be transferred to the top table. In matching colours to the brides bouquet it had white lillies, gerberas, eustoma and akito and freedom roses.

Each guest table had a single white lily with bear grass displayed in a clear lily vase. We also provided the red and white rose petals.

Red, White and Ivory roses

This is Kelly's wedding from Jocastas on Friday. We were recommended to her by one of our previous brides.

For the brides bouquet Kelly had found a picture on the internet of a bouquet she particularly liked and asked me to recreate, although not entirely of the same flowers the style is the same. She chose crystal blush calla lily, akito, maroussia and freedom roses with no foliage. It is a hand-tie design but slightly different to the domed effect I usually create, so you can see more of individual blooms. The stems were covered in ecru satin ribbon to tie in with the bridesmaid dresses.
The three bridesmaids carried a single stem of the gorgeous maroussia rose with a few strands of bear grass. Stems covered in ecru satin ribbon.
Th flower girl carried a single freedom rose with looped strands of bear grass.
The males of the bridal party all wore a single akito rose buttonhole.
The ladies also wore a single akito rose but with a sprig of gyp.

For those brides who are having a small wedding, are on a tight budget or who simply 'just want a few flowers' this could be the package for you.

A brides hand-tie of roses and foliage, a smaller matching bridesmaid hand-tie, and two rose buttonholes.

All roses must be the same colour but you have a choice;

Red, Pink, Ivory, Peach, Yellow. All foliage is of florist choice.

Both bouquets will have ribbon around the stems to compliment the colour chosen.

ONLY AVAILABLE through our Direct2florist page (Follow the Link) and ALL orders MUST be COLLECTED. Preferably on the morning of the wedding.

We must have at least 4 days notice and please don't ask for more buttonholes instead of bridesmaids etc, this is a simple package NO alterations will be entered into.

For other orders a consultation is necessary and a quote provided.

Rose and Agapanthus Wedding

This is Ciona's wedding from 31 July at The Lincoln Hotel. She came to us as we had been involved with a close family wedding a couple of years ago.

Ciona's wedding bouquet was a teardrop design of white akito roses and pale blue agapanthus with soft ruscus foliage. Five white butterflies add the finishing touches to tie in with the theme of the day.

The bridesmaid carried a hand-tie of matching flowers with aspidistra leaves with lilac ribbon around the stems.
The groom's buttonhole was a single akito rose with 2 florets of agapanthus and ruscus foliage.
We also made 9 single rose buttonholes for the bridal party.

Argos

This weeks display at Argos.

A table centre of various pink carnations, fatsia leaves and flat midelino sticks. All presented in a glass cube filled with glass stones.

A brides/maids cornucopia of cerise pink and prado carnations, pink alstroemeria, bridal glads and ruscus foliage.

Pink and White Wedding Bouquet

We were asked at short notice if we could produce a brides hand-tie bouquet. Colours and flowers were left to us and this is what we designed.

A pretty bouquet of avalanche roses, white freesia and veronica and pink eustoma, ruscus and fatsia foliage. The stems were wrapped in pale pink satin ribbon.
The more notice we have the more choice on flowers you get, but this shows it is possible to have a lovely bouquet even if you leave it until the last minute.
